Belleair Shore Real Estate Values Hold Steady
According to Mayor John Roberston, property values in Belleair Shore are holding up better than the surrounding communites.
A recent report by Pinellas County Property Appraiser shows the taxable value of property in the county had dropped 8 percent last year. Belleair Shore properties fell the least percentage-wise - just 3.2 percent. According to the appraiser’s report, the decline is a result of a slow real estate market and changes in property tax codes including the Homestead Exemption and portability of the Save Our Homes caps.
