Belleair Beach Millage Rates Hold Steady

The city council voted last week to retain the same millage rate of 1.9800 mills for the new fiscal year. This brings the 2009 fiscal year budget to $2.2 million down from $2.5 million during the current year. Declines in property values have reduced tax revenues in the City of Belleair Beach and City Manager Nancy McCollum said the city will make the required $300,000 reduction across all accounts in the city budget with no appreciable decrease in city services.
